How do I get past this: "write-once media such as CD-R or DVD-R is not supported by this version of DLA"...?
I'm trying to copy data onto a Memorex DVD-R but when I try to 'open' the disc it says the drive is not accessible, when I try to 'format' (with DLA) it gives me the above error message. I have tried using my Sonic DLA recording program "Record Now!" and it just freezes up and I have to control-alt-delete my way out. I had the trial version of Nero a while ago and was able to burn video onto these discs and had no troubles...
Whenever I have tried (in the past, though maybe using other types of discs, who knows...) to burn data to discs I just use the drag n' drop method.
Can someone help?
some Memorex discs are a little dodgy, do not use format on a write once disc i.e a DVDR or CDR. format is for CDRW and DVDRW , formatting a write once disc normally messes up the disc.
