The Sum Of The Whole; Onkyo’s HT-S7200 Home Theater System
Obtaining a home theater system can be rather like obtaining a rack stereo system. Certain manufacturers utilize these bundles as an opportunity to put together similarly engineered components which should then perform as a harmonious whole. Others suppliers, unfortunately, use these bundled systems as a strategy for moving inferior models by bundling them with better selling parts.
I am delighted to report that Onkyo has selected the higher ground regarding this practice, and while some more detail-oriented audiophiles may opt for a high performance collection of their own devising, the majority of us will be quite happy with the Onkyo HT-S7200 Home Theater Receiver package.
The Onkyo HT-S7200 Home Theater Receiver system is built around a solid receiver that comes equipped with five HDMI inputs, which enable it to readily accept many sources transporting high-definition video and sound. The product has the capacity to accomodate Dolby Pro Logic IIz in addition to typical HD video signals and DTS. The receiver is also competent at upscaling your older analog video sources to 1080i, consequently those old John Wayne movies could seem as high definition as Avatar – without the 3D, obviously.
Many of Onkyo’s receivers, which includes this one, moreover utilize the Audyssey technologies to adjust the sound level to the area of it's current home theater room. The receiver even has a universal port which can be employed at a later date for connecting an HD radio tuner or an iPod dock.
This system depends on a set of speakers which are effective spanning a range of applications in addition to being robust enough to infuse your household with the sound tracks of your liking. The dual-drive tallboy front speakers use 3-1/4 inch woofers and work in tandem with four satellite surrounds. The high performance bass reflex subwoofer is perfect for producing most bass instruments or the occasional helicopter blade, as your current preferences require. Keep in mind that, since these speakers are coordinated with the ideal receiver for their capabilities, the Audyssey technology will ensure that the sound provided by your home theater system is the appropriate quantity of sound for your room.
The Onkyo HT-S7200 Home Theater Receiver is available for a suggested price tag of $899, which might seem steep until you stop to look at the cost of these components individually. If you are pretty selective about your home theater sound and video quality, you can possibly be able to tailor a home theater system which offers a higher quality experience, but not in this home theater's price range.
Best home theater receiver for music?
I'm looking to put together a home theater/stereo system mainly for music purposes. I'd be willing to spend up to 1,000 on one but I have no idea what brand/type will give me the best output. I plan on purchasing Klipsch speakers and subwoofer as well.
With Klipsh I often recommend Denon. They combine to create a sound clear but not harsh.
This is a great one.
