Do I need antenna for LCD TV?
Hi,
Does rabbit-ear antenna works and delivers the same result to both ANALOG TV and HDTV LCD?
I would like to buy Samsung's new full HDTV (Series 6) but I do not have wall-mounted (rooftop) antenna at home.
Current condition is I am using analog TV with rabbit-ear indoor antenna and the result is not good.
Do I have to buy a rooftop antenna for the new LCD TV to ensure its reception quality or rabbit-ear will be sufficient?

The rabbit ear antenna will work, but you need to get a HD converter box. After feb 2009 the signal that rabbit ears pick up is going to get changed, so you need to get a converter box if you plan on getting over-the-air signal using rabbit-ears after feb 2009.
Newer TVs have the converter built in alot of times, however if you are getting a crappy signal with the rabbit ears you may want to buy an AMPLIFIED antenna, I say it in caps cause i see people waste their money on non-amplified versions. Also, you can get amplified indoor antennas that can be mounted on a wall or in your attic if you dont want to put one on the roof.
