Want To Find Out About Flat Screen Bargains? Take A Look Here.
Gone are the simple days when all TV's were alike and your choice was determined by screen size and cosmetic appearance. The modern consumer has to wrestle with confusing and unfamiliar jargon like viewing angles, plasma, HDMI, LED, LCD etc. The latest models are the costly high definition TV's that can produce very clear, sharp and vivid images. Since HDTV's cost a few thousand dollars you should choose wisely. Modern TV technologies, what to buy and how to get great flat screen bargains have been briefly discussed in the following paragraphs.
Plasma and LCD are the most prevalent high definition display technology these days, tube based displays are only available in smaller cheaper models. LCD or Liquid Crystal Display technology uses liquid crystals to generate an image. Plasma displays use ionized gas (plasma) to produce a picture. All displays have minute picture elements called pixels, the activation of the pixels produce picture.
LCD display technology can be further classified as Twisted Nematic (TN) and horizontal or vertical In Plane Switching (IPS) technology. The cheapest LCD technology is Twisted Nematic, it is fast but lacks in terms of color accuracy and viewing angles. Compared to TN panels IPS panels have greater color accuracy and better viewing angles.
Plasma displays, on the other hand, have excellent viewing angles and have a high contrast ratio. You can get nice flat screen bargains on LCD TV's as the technology has matured and consequently products costs are lower.
There is some confusion regarding LED TV's they are simply standard LCD's with LED backlight. To get the best flat screen bargains choose LCD TV's for screen sizes 42 inches or lower.
For screen sizes above 46 inches plasma is probably your best choice since LCD's that big are rare and prohibitively expensive. A home projector is an excellent choice if you want very big screens. Before you decide on a model don't forget to ensure that all your current audio and video devices are compatible with your TV.
by far...who makes the best projector screen hdtv on the market?

It depends what technology you are looking at.
Rear projection CRT, Pioneer, Mitsubishi, Hitachi, Toshiba and Panasonic and in that order, make the best rear projection CRTs.
For rear projection LCD, Hitachi's high end cinema series are the best, but also really expensive. The best value though is Sony, their A10 and A20 line is hard to beat.
For DLP, Mitsubishi and Toshiba are the best. Samsung maybe, maybe if you were looking for a budget DLP. I wouldn't bother with anything else, like RCA or other off brands.
For LCoS, Sony SXRD by a long shot and then JVC HD-ILA.
If you are looking for a projector, forget InFocus, their x1, x2 and x3 are junk. They aren't even able to output HD, just 480p, which in this day and age is worthless. If you are going to get a InFocus, go to a real home theater projector, their screenplay series. Though, right now the Sony HS-51 for $3k or so is the best in the price range. The Sanyo Z series is outstanding, the Z2 is $1k and actually outputs HD. Panasonic AE series is also rock solid and so is BenQ's lineup.
