Eheim Filters, Powerheads And Pumps Will Clean The Tank Environment
The first aquarium filter to appear in the market is the box or corner filter. This type of filter is still popular, especially for first-time hobbyists with small tanks. The corner filter works by sucking the water into the filter media with the use of an air pump.
It is relatively cheap but not as efficient as other filters. Aside from small home tanks, this type of filter is commonly used in breeding tanks. If you have a 10-gallon tank and are just about to set up a hobby, this filter is a god choice.
UGF or under-gravel filters have plastic pipes with tiny holes on them. Although this type of filter is good enough for small tanks, it clogs easily and requires frequent cleaning.
UGF does not perform a chemical filtration as well. High-end filter brands like Eheim do not manufacture basic filters such as the box/corner and UGF types.
Power filters come in two options. The first one is the unit that could be hung outside the tank, and the other is placed inside the aquarium itself.
These filters are becoming popular with fish tank enthusiasts because they are efficient and reasonably-priced. Some power filters, like the one manufactured by Eheim Filters, also act as mechanical, chemical and biological filters in one.
If you have a medium to large tank set-up, you may wish to have a canister filter. A canister filter is proven to effectively clean and maintain the water's balance, thus ensuring the best water environment you can provide your pets.
Canister filters do not come out cheap but they are really efficient. There are many brands of canister filters; one of such is the Eheim Ecco. The Eheim Ecco has various models for numerous aquarium setups.
Keep in mind that no matter what your aquarium setup is, it is crucial to choose the perfect type of filter for it. You can choose from hundreds of brands and models. For power and canister filters, you may want to use Eheim brand or other brands of the same quality.
Should I buy a medium or large at Hollister?
I bought a knit layer top from there and it was really big on me. It was a large. I am about to buy a few more shirts from there that are also under the knit layers category. Should I buy mediums this time? Medium tanks and camis fit me perfectly from Hollister.
I would go with a medium. They started making their sizes a lot bigger.
Just make sure to try the items on just to make sure you like the fit and the look.
